Philly Blocks "Mr. 17th EP"

Kentucky’s emerging recording artist, Philly Blocks, releases his highly anticipated debut E.P. titled “Mr. 17th”.  This 6- track E.P. is narrated by DJ Murph and Ben Staxx and features a wide array of hard-hitting bangers. “Mr. 17th” also features production from Bossman Rogerz, DP Beats, Cmplx, Mexiko Dro, AZ Beatz, and PoloBoyShawty, while teaming up with up-and-coming Kentucky artist, Cino Fresh, for the new record “Movie”.

Representing Louisville, KY, Philly Blocks takes hip hop to a whole other level in this heated E.P.

Starting right off with a fire intro, the E.P.’s first track “Almighty (Intro)” features a steady boom bap instrumental, while our Kentucky rapper reflects on what it truly means to feel all-powerful and control your own destiny.

Leading to another banger, the second track on the E.P, “CEO” represents boss mentality. The production goes in hard, while the meaning behind the track is powerful beyond measure.

“Got it on my own that’s probably why your main man bitter.” Rapper, Philly Blocks, shows us that, while it wasn’t easy, he worked hard for everything he has now.

“Movie” featuring Cino Fresh is a heartfelt, emotional track that slows down the tempo and makes you listen closely to the lyrics.

“Hate to see you make it, love to see you struggle. Love to see you broke, then hate to see you hustle.”

The Kentucky bred rapper reminisces on his tough past and how he has managed to make it on his own, despite the many challenges he faced.

Philly Blocks speaks for all aspiring musicians who are pushing beyond their limits – working hard to get to where they need to be, despite how many obstacles they may face along the way.
