Aveli Amun "First 6"

Discover Now:

Since its inception, rap music has been classified as the poetry of the streets. An impromptu speech flows indiscriminately with each artist who dares to express their ideas on a beat and transmit a message that lasts beyond time. Aveli Amun is an extraordinary MC who perfectly masters the relaxed but imposing flow of a real street poet. This prophet of awakening is a lord and master of deep lyrics.

On his debut album, First 6, Aveli Amun gives us a lesson on what it’s like to be an MC, and rest on the beat as he fiercely attacks the system and proclaims himself as a warrior wielding the sword of truth.

Very few artists can transcend rap and turn it into a real weapon to combat the system that oppresses us; for Aveli Amun, it is evident: waking up the masses is the first step to achieve freedom.

With that in mind, Aveli Amun has composed each of the songs that make up his debut album, “First 6” it is a hymn to the social struggle that uses catchy and simple rhythms not to downplay the lyrics. A tracklist that attempts against oppression and the corrupt system that dominates the world.

From the very intro, “Hold the line” Aveli Amum spits bar after bar of the crudest truth; using his masterful mastery of tempo and beat, he prepares us to continue the fight to the sound of “How Mushrooms Grow”, “Your Feed”; and “Living Wage” songs with a powerful message that will make you question a couple of things.

After getting in the mood and raising our combative spirit, Aveli Amun gives way to the highlight of the album and what in my opinion what can be the best song on “First 6”, “Populace Leaders” an ode full of rap and lyrics that question the political leadership of this beautiful nation.

This song is not only cool and worth listening to on repeat all day long; it also has a deep message that hits us in the face as the system does. To close with a flourish, Aveli Amun gives us “SCOTUS” an outro worthy of belonging to this revolutionary album, and that will leave you wanting to hear much more of this talented artist!

“First 6” is now available on Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, and all digital platforms!
