6th Floor "VI"

Artist Spotlight:

This is the 6th album from music producer 6th Floor, who produced every track on the album. The Bedford based producer shines light on a different artist on every track and it’s fitting that it’s named VI the Roman number for six.

6th floor gives classic HIP HOP vibes and aesthetic with nuance familiar to the golden days of Hip Hop on VI. While the album is 14 tracks of musical goodness, and as much as you definitely need to hit play on all 14, I only have enough room to spotlight a few.

Let’s start with the opening track “Whatever I want” featuring Prince Dale and Zant Hakeem with melodic beats and adept lyrical ability, there is no mumbling in sight and I definitely found myself bopping and rapping along.

6th Floor gives us a Medley of sounds, lyrical flows, and artists like “Runnin’ “ featuring J Faith, which is a silky smooth track that coats your ears like warm breath.

But don’t let the beat fool you as Faith raps, “runnin’ you can you hear me yet?” an indie artist demanding to be given recognition. Then there’s “Cold world” featuring Just Zeuse that hits you with lyrics about the lessons of life, good, bad and indifferent. VI has dope beats and amazing artists that you’ll need on your playlist yesterday.
