ALKI "Honey"

Writing music for ten years and releasing two EP’s, Washington’s ALKI, is now releasing their first album with the lead off single “Honey”. The piece was produced and mixed by Michael Landolt and mastered by John Grenham, both highly successful in the music industry working with artists like Maroon 5 and Billie Eilish.

ALKI releases both an audio and a visual for “Honey” representing two individuals who are in different phases in their relationship – one of them falling in love and the other not quite ready for love. This is a very divine piece, from the instrumentation to the vocals. The beginning to the end captivates a rich, full tone from the singer’s voice – illuminating throughout.

“I’ve been waiting for you my love, sleepless nights over you. Darling, I’ve been missing the sun in your eyes” representing the singer falling in love. From the perspective of the other lover he sings, “She said, found myself someone new, to drown out my world. And I figured you’d be good. Just needed someone – in the end I’ll let you down.” We can hear the sadness in his voice as he finishes off with “Was breaking his heart”.  This is truly a well done visual and audio. Worth the listen.
