Mexician composer/pianist Ricardo releases a compelling composition. Adorned by a sultry vocalist who’s voices hovers over the enticing composition. The griping piece was intended to elicit love in a time where that seems to be devoid. Ricardo states: “This song talks about love that is never to late to start loving others or anything around you.” Stream below:


Interviewing Ricardo Lujen

[Interviewer]: Who are some of your major influences in music ?

[Ricardo]: My major influences in music will be my grandpa. He studied music all his life and when I was a kid I always enjoyed to seem him play the piano. Later on in life I followed his footsteps. I believe that I inherited my talent with music from my grandpa.

[Interviewer]: Who are your major influences in life ?

[Ricardo]: Of course my parents.They have always supported me in my music and in life in general with all the things that I have accomplished.

[Interviewer]: At what age did you discover your talent in music, and how did you nature it ?

[Ricardo]: I was like 9-10 years old when I started taking piano lessons back in Mexico. My piano teacher didn't have a car and I remember that he was always on time for my lessons waiting for me outside my house. The way I developed more musical skills was through practice and more practice. I listen to classical music all the time then with time as I got older I took some music classes in college then I began to create my own compositions.

[Interviewer]: How long have you been doing music ?

[Ricardo]: I played piano since 10 years old, but creating music like 7 years ago or so.

[Interviewer]: Tell us about your latest single/album, how did it come about ?

[Ricardo]: The songs that I create are with the purpose to motivate people to have more love, enthusiasm towards life and their dreams. Doesn’t matter where you are in your career if you persevere everything will be great at the end.

[Interviewer]: What part of the music creating process is your favorite, and what part do you find the most challenging ?

[Ricardo]: My favorite part when I am composing music is when the ideas and creativity is flowing and I can sit on the piano and bring those ideas to reality. Get those ideas from my mind. The difficult part is when I am running from ideas that I don’t know what to do with, then I stop for days until I get more inspiration. Thats the hardest part, or sometimes being aware how your music is going to sound at the end of doing it.


[Interviewer]: If you could collaborate with 5 artists/musicians from any era dead or alive who would it be and why ?

[Ricardo]: That’s a great question. I would like to collaborate with Michael Jackson, Mozart, Hanz Zimmer, Beethoven, and John Lennon. Michael Jackson because I think he has an amazing talent and good ear to composed music. Mozart because I love the way he plays the piano. Hanz Zimmer I love the way he uses drums or composed music. I almost like every composition that he has made. Beethoven regardless of his hearing problem he composed really amazing. John Lennon I like the lyrics of his music. They make you ponder.

[Interviewer]: What’s the most impactful book you’ve read ?

[Ricardo]: The most impactful book is The Bible. It has changed my life in every way shape or form.

[Interviewer]: How would you describe your music ?[Ricardo]: I will say really calm,mellow with a soft sound with an important message to share to the world. [Interviewer]:: When it’s all set and done will someone learn more interesting things about…

[Interviewer]:: When it’s all set and done will someone learn more interesting things about you from your music, or your biography ?

[Ricardo] I will say both because both choices makes me who I am today. Without my life and background I couldn't get better in music.
