Finessor "Made For This"

Finding one’s purpose is the journey of life. With the opening track "Live Lavish" Bridgehampton, New York artist Finessor proclaims his mission statement with an inspirational recording. Adorned with piano keys, saturated in a melodic cadence, this opener is the first impression, and Finessor bares his soul. Vulnerable, and determined Finessor's candor is explicit with a vivid road map to success. As Finessor harmonizes “sometimes I feel that these good times will never last, sometimes I feel I have no one to watch my back, can't trust no h** I'm on the road, I need this cash, I told my bro, I'm bout to blow, let's get this bag".  Navigating through lulls, and a slew of adversities Finessor's zeal to lay claim to a better life is contagious. Living up to his name sake the New York artist meanders through tickled keys, and thick drums straddling somber lo-fi ballads with contemporary trap drums. Displaying an ability to cover a wide range of topics that's honest and conceptually cohesive Finessor has identified a sound. Conceptually, his paradoxical compositions has prepped him for this journey on his new full length release titled "Made For This".

This whole album is driven by filtered keys, guitar licks and throbbing 808 drums as Finessor divulges his bout with depression, anxiety, and finding ways to navigate utilizing hope. One recurring theme throughout the album is Finessor resolve,  stemming from his drive to become a notable figure that galvanizes the populace. The whole album is very cohesive your more likely apt to listen straight through without a skip. Some of the more notable recordings include "Living Lavish" the empowering "Be The Man", the radio friendly "Snapchat", the heartfelt stand out  "Stranger Things", and the title track "Made For This". On the aforementioned "Stranger Things" is loaded with gripping lines like "Lost my Grandpa to depression when I found out I was hurt, I couldn't help my father, hard times pressing at his nurse..., Sorry Ma, I'm chasing green so Sunday cannot go to Church, but I'm thanking God I come this far, because I almost died at birth, So I'm making sure my family straight before the day I leave this earth" further reinforces the captivating lyricism exemplified throughout the album.

With high spirited motivational messaging, over lighter glossier production, then transitioning to glum guitar licks coupled with vulnerable dark keys Finessor exists in this duality. The dichotomy of his marginalized present circumstance, coupled with the promise of his lavish trajectory. All work for the betterment of this project while inspiring melancholy stories of destitution, insatiable thoughts of ambition, and defying instances of character. These songs gravitate with and audience on an inspirational, and emotional level. Communicating this content to an audience could be challenging, but Finessor organically finesses through. "Made For This" matches the contemporary atmosphere yet galvanizes the listener’s ear with honesty allowing one to empathize with his story, and ambition. Inherently,  all of the turmoil endured, demerit marks, and painful cuts of squalor curved, have sculpted the Bridgehampton artist for this moment. Each track serving as an affirmation, a checklist, an X marking the locations on his treasure map. As Finessor traverses through life identifying his purpose, and coming to the realization that he's "Made For This".
