Throwback Tape of The Week: Rick Ross "Rich Forever"

This is considered to be Rick Ross's magnum opus among his catalog of mixtapes. The January 6, 2012 release of "Rich Forever" was met with much fanfare and controversy. At the time Drake send some barbs towards Common to spark a ephemeral feud on the assisted "Stay Scheming". During this stretch Ross was well respected, and touted as one of the hottest or thee hottest in the game.  This release only solidified his brand of music, and his impeccable ear for beat selections. "Rich Forever" features Nas, John Legend, Drake, Mike Tyson, Diddy, Styles, Kelly, Future, Birdman, French Montana, Stalley, Meek Mill, Wale, Pharrell, and more. Many felt at the time that Ross should've released this project as an album. Ross ended up releasing "God Forgives & I Don't" shortly after, which didn't live up to the anticipation this tape created. Non the less this tape is considered a classic and the one we choose to revisit. Enjoy!
